You don’t have to be a martial artist to take advantage of Bruce Lee’s biggest secret.
Neither am I.
But what I read from the Chinese combat machine reminded me heavily on what I’ve used in singing throughout the last years.
What am I talking about?
There is this quote from Bruce Lee that says:
“I don’t fear the man who has practiced 1000 different moves. I only fear the man who has practiced one move a thousand times.”
Pretty deep, right?
‘Cause when you think about it what it really means is…doing a myriad of different exercises leads you nowhere.
You end up as a jack of all trades and master of none.
But if you have a handful of fundamental exercises….
Which you keep practicing over…and over…and over again.
You will someday achieve true MASTERY.
This reminds me of when I started learning such fundamentals in singing.
I was so happy when I nailed one exercise for the first time.
Triumphantly, I turned to my teacher and asked “So, what’s next?”
He just smiled and said “Do it again”.
And this went on for the rest of the lesson.
You see… to every level there’s a new devil.
Once you’ve reached a certain level in singing…you’re only beginning to see, what’s still ahead.
That’s why…no need to stuff your throat with hundreds of different exercises…when you’re good to go knowing the best 5 or 6.
Again: It’s ALL about the fundamentals.
In particular:
#1 Breathing – you exactly need just one exercise that covers the whole breathing/support mystery
#2 Placement – there’s ONE core exercise that helped me find the perfect placement in just couple weeks. In contrast, before I was taught this exercise, I’ve tried in vain for years to get it right. I would only add one other exercise for placement to get you going.
#3 Flexibility – it’s about stretching your vocal cords and expanding the space within your mouth and throat. The right placement combined with good flexibility gives you the superpower to sing higher and spot-on. Honestly, I can think of no more than 2 core exercises to improve flexibility.
That’s it, mate.
5 exercises.
If you can pull yourself together and practice them diligently every day -or every other day-…you’ll be right on track to a new voice.
Guaranteed.

P.S. If you’re now losing sleep because you want to know every detail of these fundamental exercises…you’ll have to wait some more. I’m working eagerly on releasing my first-ever singing method training. But I’m afraid, it’ll take some more time before ready to launch.
