Time for some disillusions, buddy.
I don’t have any exact numbers, but my wild guess is that 80-90% of all singing courses flat out don’t work.
No matter how hard you try, no matter how diligently you work your cords…you are doomed for failure before you even start.
And here’s why…
Usually it goes like this:
Funny, or good looking guy sits in front of the camera and starts right off with the first exercise.
“Okay now lets do Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah.” which comes out perfectly fine…no wonder, most of the time the bloke can actually sing.
And then you go “Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-argh”, well not quite as perfect as the world-class bard.
But hey it’s just a matter of time.
Or isn’t it?
Let’s stop right here and see what’s happening.
There is a problem with that approach…
You can’t learn singing merely based on some exercises.
I know what they say. “The specific exercises help you train your voice”
But let me ask you a silly little question: “Do you REALLY think your voice will improveIf by simply imitating a boring exercise…maybe doing some fake smiling…or sticking out your tongue?”
Let me tell you this…
When I took my first singing lessons, I always had the feeling there was something missing (and damn was I right).
Singing scales up and down…and doing acrobatic exercises….didn’t do it for me.
No matter how many times my teacher would say something like “Let loose.”or “Relax.” I couldn’t FEEL it the way he did.
Truth is…
Most teachers give you a bunch of exercises…and hope that somehow you’ll get it…or that your voice figures it out on its own.
Unfortunately, that’s not how it works…let alone reliably.
“But what about all those testimonials they put on their side, Felix. Are they all fake?”
No, I don’t think they are made up, but in most cases, those singers already could sing before they did the course.
And let me assure you…it’s not hard for an already good singer to get better.
But it is like a dwarf-fighting-a-blood-thirsty-horde-of-Orcs task to turn someone…who can’t hold a note if his life depended on it…into a solid singer.
There IS a way, though:
When using trivial sounds EVERYONE can naturally do correctly…you can build the bridge to a rock-solid and precise vocal technique.
It’s not what most vocal coaches are capable of.
At least I haven’t seen anyone teaching that stuff. And I’ve seen a lot.
But that’s exactly how I went from a desperate and frustrated wanna-be singer…to a confident performer.
Here’s the good news:
If you want to get the absolute best out of your voice…you can soon get your hairy hands on this soon-to-be-launched singing system.
