Do you suffer from shiny object syndrome?
If you don’t have a clue what I’m talking about.
Let me explain…
You see, there are people who jump on everything that’s new, hot, and appealing.
So let’s pretend you’re someone who wants to make a shitload of money…
And you’re always on the lookout for lucrative opportunities.
It’s very likely, you easily fall prey to hypie marketing messages like…
“Make $ 5,000 a day with trading”
“Make money while you sleep with real estate”
“Launch your own shopify store and be your own boss”
And that’s exactly where this vicious cycle begins…
People who suffer from shiny object syndrome jump on every new opportunity that comes their way.
Then they’ll try it for 1 month…and because they see no results (of course)…they would ditch it for the next best thing.
And they do this over…and over…and over again.
Wash. Rinse. Repeat.
And you can see this in other areas too.
Like the guy who’s constantly dating a new darling…
Because after a few flirty weeks…
When the first argument comes up…
He escapes the fresh romance at breakneck-speed.
And guess what?
The same thing happens to a lot of singing newbies as well.
Because if you dive into the world of singing…
You’ll quickly find out there are tons of different teaching gurus…
Each one claiming they have the BEST method to help you sing those high notes.
You literally get swamped with hyped singing courses…
All promising FAST results and overnight stardom.
And while some of these courses may actually work over time…
The uncertain aspiring singer hops from one method to the other…
Eventually going nowhere…
Leaving her with the fatal thought “I guess, I’m not cut out for this.”
But wait, there’s a way to escape this misery.
All you have to do is to..
Commit to one singing system at a time. Choose one teacher or course that really resonates with you.
Go with your gut feelings here.
And give it a fair amount of time to unfold.
If your body adapts the new system, it will feel just right…
And the progress will show up in beautiful notes and more freedom in your voice.
So, if a singing method really “clicks” for you…
Just stay the course.
Practice every day.
And don’t change anything…even if your progress at one point may slow down (bummer; but that happens from time to time)
